You’ll be joining a large store team and will regularly interact with other Team Members, Specialists, Supervisors, and Store Managers (called Associate Store Team Leaders & Store Team Leaders) to satisfy and delight our customers.

We have a variety of roles and positions depending on the team. At our retail stores, we have hourly seasonal, part-time and full-time Team Member (TM) roles working together to serve our customers through our various teams. As Team Members grow their skills, we offer specialized roles such as Team Supervisors, Order Writers, Butchers, Bakery Decorators and Leadership roles. All levels within the store report to a Store Team Leader per location.
There are many opportunities to develop your skills across different teams. We are so proud that each department’s products meet Whole Foods Market Quality Standards.
Bakery: includes Team Members supporting our coffee bar, decorated cakes, pastries, artisan breads and more.
Customer Service & E-Commerce: includes our Whole Foods Amazon Prime shopping team, cashiers and customer service desk offering support for our customers.
Grocery: includes Team Members stocking and helping customers with dairy items, frozen foods, bulk, and packaged goods in the center of the store.
Meat & Seafood: experts in high quality natural and organic meat, sustainably sourced seafood, and prepared ready-to-cook items.
Prepared Foods: our world-famous hot bar and salad bar would be nothing without this team of culinary professionals leading the charge in serving thousands of customers nourishing food every day. This team also prepares and serves customers food in other venues such as sandwich and pizza stations, taco and burrito bars, and our chef’s case.
Produce: often a customer’s first impression of Whole Foods Market, this team is responsible for the beautiful rainbow display of the freshest, best-quality produce and floral items.
Specialty: our beer, wine, cheese, and chocolate experts are well-versed in pairings and offer great recommendations for our customers. Specialty also includes beer, wine, and liquor in various locations.
Whole Body: this team is passionate and knowledgeable in vitamins, supplements, and body care products that all pass our rigorous quality standards.

Pay, Status, Schedule
For the consideration of this specific transition or following an Amazon Fresh site closure, we do our best to honor status, rate of pay and tenure for Amazonians.
Schedules depend on the role, team, and needs of the location. It is important that Team Members and leaders have the ability to work all types of shifts including early, mid, close and especially the weekends when our customers need us the most. Please indicate your availability on the application, and you can discuss any additional questions with leaders when you are contacted after applying.
Whole Foods Market Team Members use Innerview My Schedule Tools to easily view and manage schedules. The Innerview My Schedule Tools application is accessible via desktop and mobile devices. *Exceptions apply to some jurisdictions. We have full-time status in which Team Members work between 30-40 hours a week and a part-time status in which Team Members work between 4-29 hours a week. On average, part-time Team Members work approximately 20 hours a week, but Team Member availability and preferences, as well as business needs determine the hours a part-time Team Member is scheduled. Please indicate your availability on your application.
Yes, several E-Commerce shopper teams have a flexible scheduling option. The flex scheduling model is exclusive to our E-Commerce teams due to the unique operational model of this team. Schedules for Shoppers consist of both pre-assigned and self-selected shifts. Exceptions apply to some jurisdictions.
