Associate Studio Artist
Job Description
The Associate Studio Artist is a key contributor and collaborator to the production of final assets/deliverables across various marketing programs and media channels. The position requires intermediate to advanced production art experience, a meticulous attention to detail, strong ability to organize and manage numerous deliverables, and the ability to quickly deliver final assets according to specs. The Associate Studio Artist also supports creative activations across traditional printed signage and digital deliverables with expected knowledge to understand distinctions and specs per channels.
The Associate Studio Artist contributes as an experienced independent contributor, requiring moderate to minimal daily guidance, to ensure final assets are ready for production, adhere to brand standards and are delivered to specs. The Associate Studio Artist is a member of the Marketing Operations Shared Services team and reports to the Senior Studio Manager.
This is position is located in Austin, TX with an expectation of being in-office five days a week.
- Manage recurring campaigns such as Daily Deals and Promos, with potential to support aspects of more
complex projects - Collaborate with Design team to interpret and create assets heavily rooted in signage and digital channels across a variety of programs including new store openings, seasonal campaigns, evergreen campaigns, promotions, local activations & rebrands
- Champion brand standards and ensure look and feel is consistent and accurate across all deliverables before review and release
- Estimate time required for projects requested and manage time appropriately
- Minimize revisions needed internally and externally by continually learning channel-specific specs and exploring workflow efficiencies (color space, resolution, maximum file sizes, text-to-image ratios, etc.)
- Review proofs and execute quick revisions to feedback
- Manage submission of assets to Digital Asset Management system(s) with appropriate naming, keywords, etc.
- Contribute to development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to Studio Production and creative Brand Guidelines
- Participate in shared responsibilities including file organization, quality control, and project documentation
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge in production art, typography, layout design and digital retouching
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat)
- Experience in Figma preferred (training provided if needed); Amazon Composer, Adobe After Effects and
Adobe Premiere experience a plus - Experience in Workfront/Proof HQ, Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint or other presentation software)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize a continual high-volume workload in a fast-paced retail environment
- Ability to communicate technical and structured information in a clear, concise, and organized fashion
- Mature self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new techniques and processes
- BA/BS degree with ideally 2–4 years of experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in production art or graphic design, preferably with a retailer
- Collaborative spirit to work with various teams and team members at all levels
- Resourceful self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and continuous change
- Understanding of the importance of consistency and reliability in delivering high-quality work
