Distribution Center Receiving Manager
Job Description
Responsibilities
• Interview, select, train, develop and counsel Team Members and Team Leaders in a manner which builds and sustains a high performing team and minimizes turn over.
• Select and develop Associate Team Leaders as potential Team Leaders.
• Provide timely, thorough and thoughtful performance evaluations.
• Work collaboratively with Team Member Services on Team Member relations including proper documentation, investigations, corrective actions and team member relations.
• Communicate and maintain Team Member safety and security standards.
• Project annual case volumes and labor requirements.
• Achieve all required productivity, safety and labor targets.
• Establish and maintain collaborative and productive working relationship with Global leadership, Regional teams supported by the DC, Facility Leadership, Team Leaders and Team Members.
• Provide accurate, complete information in daily, weekly, monthly, annual and ""ad hoc"" management reports.
• Model and cultivate effective inter-facility communication.
• Establish and maintain positive and productive vendor relationships.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of, and ensure compliance with relevant regularity rules and standards, including: OSHA, FMLA, HACCP, FSMA, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Department of Labor, Health and Sanitation, FDA, Department of Agriculture, Weights and Measures.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• Ability to effectively use Microsoft Word and Excel, EXE, and PeopleSoft
• Outstanding communication skills
• Passion for all WFM policies and procedures and thorough product knowledge
• Ability to provide excellent customer service
• Phenomenal time management skills
• High attention to detail and thoroughness in approach with all paperwork
• Comprehensive knowledge of computers and systems
• Proper use of knives, personal protective equipment, forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks, baler and all other equipment used within the Distribution Center.
• Ability to work well with others, self-motivated and capable of working independently with little supervision. Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the Distribution Center, including nights, weekends and holidays as required
Desired Work Experiences
• 2 years of experience as a Team Leader or Associate Team Leader
