Ecommerce Specialist
Job Description
Whole Foods Market is seeking an Ecommerce Specialist in Austin. This role will be responsible for executing e-commerce tasks, processes, and project deliverables across the full suite of Whole Foods Market’s E-Commerce experiences. This will will ensure timely and accurate execution of configurations, data inputs and content updates in support of e-commerce business functions such as catalog, inventory, launch, topography, and site merchandising. This will also support the analysis of customer behavior, business performance and digital metrics to make recommendations for e-commerce process, program and customer experience improvements.This role is based in Austin, Texas, with an expectation of being in the Store Support office five days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Leads e-commerce execution for medium scale programs, processes or projects across one or more Whole Foods Market e-commerce touchpoints.
- Partners with e-commerce, operations, merchandising and other stakeholders to ensure accurate execution across e-commerce properties.
- Analyzes executional and team operational metrics; interprets results and creates recommendations to guide future e-commerce strategy development and program execution.
- Contributes detailed executional and process plans through deliverables such as work back schedules and task lists; owns small-medium scale written documents.
- Supports enhancements to digital experiences by contributing to and documenting business requirements.
- Develops working relationships with internal and external digital product management partners to ensure e-commerce tools work as needed and that updates are communicated to other users
- Proposes, develops and analyzes executional reports for auditing and quality assurance of medium complexity
Skills:
- Understands how eCommerce site merchandising, catalog, item data, and digital products work.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of retail merchandising and store/ecommerce operations, and how these inputs can inform omnichannel eCommerce strategies.
- Some knowledge of UX / Design best practices.
- Some knowledge of software development practices and processes.
- Conceptual understanding of product data, data structures, and data management
- Working knowledge of digital, marketing and business measurement technologies and frameworks such as web analytics software, dashboard platforms, etc.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening.
- Presents information and responds to questions with guidance, one-on-one, and with internal and external customers.
- Able to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical audiences and stakeholders.

Education & Experience:
- BA/BS degree and 2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
