Finance Manager - FP&A

Job Description

Responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing financial concepts for financial planning, analysis and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, investment activity, customer deals, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. Develops, implements and monitors financial performance metrics, existing and new store performance and profit and sales drivers. Ensures development and distribution of reports / recommendations relating to financial and performance planning, investment options and related decision tools.This role is based in Austin, TX, with an expectation of being in the Store Support office 5 days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports Finance teams in the development and measurement of financial plans and productivity forecasts company-wide.
  • Gathers and analyzes Accounting and Financial data and information in support of business performance analysis and forecasting.
  • Uses regional and global reporting to provide insight to leadership on results for period-end review and associated calls and presentations.
  • Works with other teams to understand their changing businesses and ensure incorporation into forward looking guidance.
  • Develops and provides reports and recommendations to help leadership define and analyze key success metrics and productivity measures.
  • Develops and recommends improved data collection and analysis methods, including methods to:
    • Improve automation and standardization,
    • Rapidly respond to changing business conditions,
    • Ensure data security, availability and integrity.
  • Monitors Financial Analysis metrics to identify patterns, trends, and emerging challenges.
  • Ensures wide-spread sharing and application of lessons learned.

Skills:

  • Advanced understanding of Financial Planning & Analysis concepts, principles and practices.
  • Excellent ability to compile, monitor, examine and audit financial statements, reports and accounts.
  • Advanced understanding of Financial Planning & Analysis concepts, principles and practices.

  • Excellent understanding of multiple reporting Accounting and Financial systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, BPC, PeopleSoft, sMore’s, MicroStrategy and other WFM reporting tools.
  • Able to identify new and improved methods of performing database management, manipulation and analysis.
  • Engages with leadership  to ensure priorities align with and support strategic business objectives.

Education & Experience:

  • BA/BS degree and 6-8 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
The wage range for this position is $100,244.00-$170,415.00 Annual, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers "Whole Benefits".
