HRIS Analyst

Job Description

The Workday Business Systems Analyst supports the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) team by managing day-to-day operations of our Workday platform, providing technical support, maintaining data integrity, and delivering system solutions for our organization. This role combines technical expertise with strong analytical skills to ensure accurate HR data management and system optimization.This position is based out of Austin, TX with an expectation of being in the office 5 days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and analyzes complex datasets using advanced Excel functions to support data-driven decision making and system maintenance
  • Performs comprehensive data integrity audits ensuring accuracy of employee data, compensation information, and organizational structures
  • Develops and processes mass data uploads for organizational changes using Workday's Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
  • Creates and maintains data reports to support HR operations and business decisions
  • Provides technical support and problem resolution for employees and HR team members
  • Processes employee information updates and maintains accurate records in Workday
  • Responds to and resolves system-related tickets through our service desk platform
  • Creates and updates process documentation and training materials
  • Partners with various HR teams to identify process improvements and training needs
  • Supports payroll and benefits teams with system-related processing requirements

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including:
    • Complex formulas and functions
    • Pivot tables and data modeling
    • Large dataset manipulation and analysis
    • Data validation and cleansing techniques
  • 1-3 years of experience in HRIS or related technical role
  • 1+ years of experience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms
  • Experience with HR data management and reporting
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize and effectively communicate data findings
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities
