In-Store Local Marketing Specialist - 18 Month Contract

Serves as the master of program execution at the store / local level. Works closely with store Team Members to implement programs driving customer engagement and basket expansion; provides clear direction, trouble-shoots emerging issues, and provides feedback for continuous improvement. Ensures effective integration and alignment of store-level programs with regional and global marketing strategies, plans, and objectives.Note: This is a fixed-term position expected to last a duration of 18 months from start date.

Whole Foods Market utilizes Sage, a conversational AI Assistant, for purposes of facilitating the recruitment, transfer, and promotion processes. Responsibilities:
- Implements marketing programs at the store level, in partnership with store-level Team Members.
- Leverages understanding of deadlines and deliverables into tangible and detailed ‘jobs-to-do’ at the store level.
- Works with store, marketing, regional, and other key stakeholders to understand signage requirements and anticipated changes.
- Works with various signage design, production, and delivery stakeholders – internally and externally – to provide advance notice about signage requirements and upcoming changes.
- Works with store teams / stakeholders to facilitate signage ordering, production, delivery, and placement.
- Provides hands-on assistance to store-level Team Members as necessary to ensure program success.
- Serves as liaison between stores and regional marketing.
- Monitors store signage experience to identify logistical, production, placement, and other issues.
- Works with customer analytics to understand how signage design and placement impacts and influences customer perceptions and buying patterns.
- Prepares reports for distribution highlighting signage processes, placement, and impact observations and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinates program activity to ensure alignment with global marketing standards, practices, and objectives.
- Monitors and reports on store-level marketing program success, failures, and potential opportunities.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Purchasing team to implement promotional inventory and promote new and local products.
- Works with suppliers to coordinate details of campaigns, ensuring assets and materials are received in a timely fashion.
- Works with Regional Marketing team to brief design and content creation elements for digital and in-store signage.
- Manage vendor program integration into seasonal marketing programs and lead execution with store Marketing teams.
- Communicate program objectives, elements, key dates and results to multiple stakeholder groups across various platforms.
- Work with vendors and Demo team members to coordinate communication, product training and shipment of appropriate materials to support vendor programs.
- Maintain and grow regional vendor database.
- Liaise with vendors to ensure timely and accurate flow of information before, during and after each campaign – including proactive trafficking of assets and information.
Skills:
- Working knowledge of marketing concepts in a retail environment, including brand management, channel management, and communication strategies.
- Understanding of signage design, development, production, and delivery.
- General understanding of consumer insight analytics and related marketing, retail, and customer engagement metrics.
- Strong ability to create accessible, easy-to-understand communication in multiple formats. Demonstrated ability to assess marketing initiative impact on customer behavior and bottom line performance.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening.
- Presents information and responds to questions with guidance, one-on-one, and with internal and external customers.
- Able to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical audiences and stakeholders.
Supports team projects within defined area of responsibility.
- Impacts the quality of own work and that of the team.
- Works as a fully competent Team Member.
- Maintains positive working relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and with third-party vendors and service providers.
- Ability to plan, estimate, organize, and monitor program activity.
- Ability to keep programs on track financially, creatively, and in accordance with stakeholder objectives and deadlines.
- Understands store and regional marketing goals and objectives.
- Able to identify alignment / misalignment of team project goals with larger organizational strategy, goals, and objectives.
- Understands the WFM product mix, supply base, and retail operations.
Education & Experience:
- BA/BS degree and 2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

The wage range for this position is $31.99-$51.19 Hourly, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers "Whole Benefits".
