Lead TMS Operations Specialist
Job Description
What You’ll Do:
As a Lead HR Operations Specialist, you'll oversee the background check adjudication process, ensuring all candidates align with legal requirements. You’ll:
Review and adjudicate background checks for candidates across the organization.
Communicate directly with candidates to discuss applicable charges and assess their eligibility for hire.
Perform individualized assessments to support fair decision-making.
Serve as a trusted resource for understanding HR policies and providing guidance to stakeholders.
Support the adjudication team by responding to team’s questions, escalate complex and sensitive issues, and lead team meetings.
Identify external impacts, inform team of changes, and update process documentation as necessary
Pull reporting from various platforms, analyze and manipulate data, and post for stakeholders.
Skills:
Advanced ability to conduct research within specific jurisdictions, review data and make decisions independently
Possess high level of risk assessment
Advanced ability to filter, interpret, and apply HR policy, process, and procedural information to resolve Team Member and Team Leader questions.
Receives general direction; work may be completed without pre-established procedures.
Resolves complex issues escalated from less experienced Team Members.
May provide direction and coaching to less experiences Team Members.
Encourages collaboration within and across work groups and functions.
Determines own priorities within general guidelines.
Coordinates resources and activities as needed to achieve expected results.
Finds ways to improve efficiency, quality and service.
Analyzes and resolves a wide variety of questions and problems.
Able to independently gather data for analysis and reporting.
What You Bring:
A high school diploma and 4+ years of relevant experience (an Associate's degree or some college coursework is a plus).
Expertise in conducting in-depth research and comprehensive risk assessments.
Experience with background check systems (Accurate a plus) and HRIS systems (Workday a plus) preferred.
Ability to maintain composure during difficult conversations.
Employee relations experience a plus.
Strong Microsoft Office skills and detailed knowledge of HR policies and regulations.
Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to prioritize and adapt in a dynamic environment.
