Principal Learning & Development Analyst
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Plays a leading role in Learning and curriculum development for our merchandising organization.
Consults and advises on a wide variety of complex projects involving needs assessments, design, development, implementation and management of learning solutions.
Remains current with Learning & Development state-of-the-art, trends, and emerging/evolving methodologies.
Delivers and facilitates developmental sessions for senior-level merchandising team members and groups.
Researches complex issues and recommends resolution strategies that reflect historical precedent, changing business requirements, company values, and other considerations.
Establishes governance frameworks and success metrics for all merchandising learning programs.
Directs the development of innovative learning solutions that scale.
Builds and maintains a network of tool super-users to support sustainable adoption of new tools and technologies.
Recommends learning solutions that influence positive / behavioral change, adoption of new tools, align with strategic business objectives, and enhance individual and organizational capability.
Develops recommendations for changes and improvements to Learning processes, ensuring alignment with company objectives and philosophy.
Advances the learning culture at WFM.
Skills:
Advanced knowledge of Learning & Development, Behavior-based learning, Program & Project Management concepts, practices, and processes.
Serves as Learning & Development expert to the merchandising organization.
Recommends methods to better integrate initiatives with business direction and expected outcomes.
Ability to lead and guide brainstorming sessions for all training and change management areas.
Partner with tool experts to drive consistent understanding of the intended tool application.
Ensures Learning & Development initiatives are consistent with WFM values and goals.
Able to facilitate discussions and workshops in a manner consistent with industry best practices.
Creates a reputation of communicating effectively with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and partners.
Models WFM’s Leadership Principles and core values.
Education & Experience: BA/BS degree and 7-9 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
