Production Team Member, Coffee Roasting Facility

Reports to the Packaging Team Leader. The Production Team Member performs various duties within production/packaging of coffee/tea areas including labeling case packs, hand packing finished goods into cases, operating automated case packers, grinding, and loading cases onto pallets with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Operate end of line packaging equipment meeting all safety, quality, and efficiency standards. 
• Label empty packaging for production. 
• Hand pack finished goods using the scales, dosers, grinders, sealers, and case tapers as needed. 
• Box and carton finished goods. 
• Operate all basic material handling and maintenance equipment adhering to company safety guidelines (i.e., ladders, pallet jacks, two-wheel dollies, four-wheeled carts, tape guns, box knives.) 
• Unload, load, and stock finished product on pallets, shelves, and racking. 
• Records production data as expected into an ERP System, or on paperwork. 
• Cleans the production area (wipe down, mop, and sweep) according to established schedules. 
• Cleans/sanitizes equipment. 
• Follows established quality standards. 
• Performs additional job duties as required. 
• Complies with all issued policies and procedures documented in the Allegro Operating Manuals and Regulations, including SQF, GMP, HACCP, FDA, OSHA, NSF, NOP, and any local/state/federal requirements. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Previous experience in a production/warehouse environment preferred. 
• Must be able to operate case packers and other end of line packaging equipment. 
• Effective communication skills. 
• Ability to learn tasks performed on tablet and handheld scanner. 
• Basic math skills. 
• Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment. 
• Must demonstrate flexibility to meet quickly changing production schedules and job assignments that may involve extended or overtime hours.    
• Able to perform physical requirements of position including standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing up to 10 hours daily in addition to lifting up to 50 lbs

The wage range for this position is $19.50-$32.01 Hourly, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers "Whole Benefits".
