Resource Manager
Job Description
Whole Foods Market and Amazon Fresh are part of Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS), delivering quality food and innovative shopping experiences to customers across multiple brands and channels. Our integrated marketing operations team supports both brands in creating impactful marketing initiatives at scale.We are seeking a Creative Resource Manager to support strategic resource planning and optimization across Whole Foods Market and Amazon Fresh marketing operations. This role ensures effective deployment of creative resources through detailed capacity planning and workflow management. The ideal candidate will excel at understanding team capabilities, managing day-to-day resource allocation, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver marketing initiatives efficiently. They will build strong working relationships with creative teams and project managers while maintaining operational excellence in resource management practices.This position is based in Austin, TX, with an expectation of being in the Austin Store Support office five days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
Resource Planning & Operations
- Manage day-to-day resource allocation across marketing initiatives for both WFM and Fresh creative teams
- Evaluate and assign project requests based on team member expertise and capacity
- Monitor and maintain accurate resource tracking within project management systems
- Support workflow efficiency through effective resource deployment and capacity management
- Provide regular reporting on resource utilization and project time investments
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Creative, Project Management, and Production teams to understand resource needs
- Build and maintain relationships with creative teams to understand capabilities and bandwidth
- Support planning processes for marketing initiatives across both brands
- Collaborate with project managers to align on timeline and resource requirements
- Proactively identify and escalate resource constraints or conflicts
Process Management & Reporting
- Manage resource allocation processes including time tracking and capacity planning
- Create and maintain regular reporting on team utilization and program investments
- Monitor workload balance and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Support resource forecasting and capacity planning efforts
- Maintain accurate data within project management systems
Team Support & Mentorship
- Train team members on time tracking and resource management processes
- Support new team member onboarding for resource management tools and processes
- Participate in regular team meetings to review priorities and resource needs
- Provide input on team structure and allocation based on business priorities
- Support development of best practices for resource management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field
- 2-5 years’ experience in resource or project management, preferably in marketing or creative industries
- Demonstrated ability in capacity planning and resource allocation
- Proficiency in project management and resource tracking tools
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships
- Experience managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
