Sanitation Supervisor, Bakehouse

Job Description

The Sanitation Supervisor works to oversee the sanitation function to ensure compliance with all Whole Foods, industry, and food safety standards. Supervise and coordinate activities for Team Members engaged in all aspects of functions of sanitation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties on the daily, weekly & monthly  Sanitation and Maintenance lists, and adhere to cleaning and maintenance schedules.
  • Follow all GMP guidelines, complete all documentation for HACCP, FSMA, and daily operational sheets as required by food safety plan
  • Accept and process product from the store receiver.
  • Follow established hazardous material safety procedures.
  • Keep floor clear of any dry or liquid debris.
  • Empty trash containers and replace liners.
  • Keep and maintain accurate sweep logs.
  • Use appropriate protective equipment.
  • Maintain back stock areas and coolers.
  • Dust fixtures, shelves and product.
  • Clean windows and mirrored surfaces.
  • Support all teams with cleaning projects.
  • Keep department supplies filled and maintained.
  • Keep all supply shelves clean and stocked.
  • Practice safe use of tools and equipment required by position.
  • Practice proper case and maintenance of equipment.
  • Know and practice proper lifting techniques.
  • Report safety violations and hazards immediately.
  • Participate in ordering supplies needed for facility maintenance.
  • Help with any cleaning emergencies that occur in the facility.
  • Comply with all state and federal health and safety codes.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Experience cleaning in the manufacturing and food industry
  • Knowledge and experience performing basic maintenance
  • Knowledge of state and federal safety codes
  • Able to work well without direct supervision
  • Able to operate all necessary equipment and perform all physical requirements of the job
  • Safe and tidy work habits
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as required
