Whole Foods Market and Amazon Fresh are part of Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS), delivering high-quality food and innovative shopping experiences across brands and channels. Our integrated marketing operations team supports both brands in scaling strategic marketing programs and fostering impactful stakeholder partnerships.We are seeking a Senior Engagement Manager to lead both client engagement and end-to-end project delivery for integrated, multi-channel marketing initiatives supporting Amazon Fresh grocery. This dual role combines strategic client partnership with hands-on project ownership—ensuring that marketing efforts are aligned to business objectives, scoped effectively, executed on time, and delivered with excellence. As a key liaison between internal teams and brand stakeholders across Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market, the ideal candidate will be a relationship-focused leader who can also dive into the details—developing timelines, managing cross-functional workflows, tracking milestones, and driving programs from kickoff through completion. This role requires a blend of client services expertise, operational rigor, strategic thinking, and a proactive approach to project management. The ideal candidate is an organized, solutions-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.This position is based in Austin, TX, with an expectation of being in the Austin Store Support office five days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders across Whole Foods Market and Amazon Fresh, fostering strong, consultative relationships that enable long-term partnership and program success
- Own and manage marketing projects from initiation through completion, including scoping, scheduling, resourcing, delivery, and post-project review
- Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, ensuring all milestones are clearly defined, communicated, and met
- Align stakeholders on project objectives, deliverables, scope, and success metrics
- Monitor and manage project scope and budgets, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, barriers, or changes in requirements
- Drive collaboration across Fresh Brand, Whole Foods Market Creative, program, and channel teams to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery
- Track and report on project health, status updates, and team alignment across multiple workstreams
- Facilitate stakeholder feedback cycles with attention to version control and quality assurance
- Ensure alignment between marketing strategy and execution by maintaining close relationships with cross-functional partners
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance team efficiency, and strengthen communication channels
- Mentor junior team members on both engagement strategy and project execution best practices
- Act as the voice of the client internally, ensuring marketing work delivers on expectations and adds value
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in account service, engagement management, or integrated project management within a creative agency, in-house marketing team, or similar environment
- Proven success managing strategic stakeholder relationships and leading marketing initiatives from concept through delivery
- Strong project management skills including timeline creation, cross-functional coordination, and milestone tracking
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with varying complexity and visibility
- Experience overseeing creative, digital, or omnichannel marketing deliverables
- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills
- Proactive, resourceful, and calm under pressure with a high attention to detail
- Experience managing budgets and understanding how to balance scope, resources, and timelines
