Senior Product Quality Analyst

Whole Foods Market is looking for a Senior Product Quality Analyst to champion the integrity of our Exclusive Brands product portfolio.In this role, you'll blend sharp analytical skills with a love of great food to help us elevate the quality and consistency of the products that carry our name. From leading hands-on product evaluations (cuttings) to digging into customer feedback and third-party lab data, you’ll be at the forefront of driving continuous quality improvements. What You’ll Do:
- Be the voice of the customer—analyzing feedback, spotting trends, and digging deep to understand where and how we can improve.
- Lead product cuttings to evaluate sensory performance and partner with Product Developers to ensure products meet our high standards.
- Drive product investigations and corrective action plans in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
- Manage 3rd-party lab testing programs, including vendor selection, testing oversight, and results analysis.
- Deliver compelling, data-driven reports to guide decisions for Sourcing, Product Development, and Food Safety teams.
- Build and maintain supplier quality scorecards, influencing long-term product and supplier improvements.
- Cultivate a culture of quality across Whole Foods’ Exclusive Brands team—highlighting wins and promoting accountability.
- Mentor and support team members- sharing technical expertise, offering guidance, and helping grow the next generation of quality leaders.
What you’ll need:
- B.S. or B.A. in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field preferred and 4-6 years’ experience within the food, retail, or CPG industry OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with PLM or QIM systems strongly preferred.
- Experience with BI tools preferred.
- Ability to manage concurrent projects and programs and deliver against dynamic timelines.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Ability to know when to make decisions or judgments, and when to seek subject matter expert opinion.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal direct supervision.
- Ability to have fun and enable others to have fun while achieving meaningful results.
- Experience with natural and organic foods a plus.
- Experience with quality and sensory evaluations.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
