Senior Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex multi-channel cross-functional marketing programs for Whole Foods Market Amazon Fresh grocery. This role combines strategic portfolio management, directing the planning and execution of creative projects supporting enterprise-level business initiatives within Global Marketing. This role partners with Whole Foods Market and Amazon Fresh stakeholders, Product, Brand Creative, Channel, and Tech teams to lead the planning and execution of creative projects supporting high profile and high impact business initiatives. The ideal candidate will excel at integrating and managing multiple large-scale projects, owning schedules, identifying and communicating key milestones, communicating with a diverse stakeholder group, and trafficking final deliverables. The ideal candidate will also thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, implementing processes and raising the bar on creative deliverables for integrated marketing campaigns. This role requires excellent project management skills, strategic thinking, relationship building, problem solving, and effective communication skills with peers and leadership. A track record of on-time delivery of projects coupled with the ability to operate independently and autonomously are key to the success of this role.This role is based out of our Corporate Office in Austin with an expectation of being onsite 5 days a week.

Responsibilities:
Portfolio and Program Management
- Oversee a complex portfolio of marketing initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment and optimal resource allocation
- Lead the most complex, high-impact programs within Global Marketing, focusing on enterprise-level omnichannel customer experiences
- Develop and implement strategic project management methodologies across the team to optimize performance and simplify ways of working
Strategic Leadership and Stakeholder Management
- Partner with senior leadership to shape strategic initiatives and drive organizational change
- Influence executive-level decision-making to align portfolio outcomes with marketing goals
- Build and maintain strategic relationships across the organization to facilitate program success
- Lead strategic planning sessions and portfolio reviews with senior stakeholders
Operational Excellence and Risk Management
- Design and implement scalable project management processes and best practices across the team
- Oversee portfolio risk management strategies and mitigation plans
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the project management organization
- Manage resource allocation across multiple programs and projects
- Establish portfolio governance frameworks and ensure consistent project delivery standards
Skills:
- Advanced understanding of WFM’s project management methodologies and requirements.

- Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations.
- Presents problem analyses and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner.
- Handles a diverse range of issues requiring evaluation of a variety of factors, including business trends.
- Analyzes complex and ambiguous problems.
- Identifies opportunities for process / procedural enhancements to drive efficiency and improve service levels.
- Understands trends and emerging challenges of the customer base, market, and industry.
- Applies business and project understanding to focus project / team’s efforts.
- Demonstrates excellent knowledge of the WFM product mix, supply base, and retail operations.
Education & Experience:
- BA/BS degree and 4-6 years’ relevant Senior level experience OR equivalent education and relevant experience.
- Proven expertise in defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and establishing RACI matrices
- Expert-level knowledge of project management methodologies and portfolio management practices
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Workfront) and experience with multiple marketing channels
- Strong strategic planning skills, balancing big-picture vision with effective day-to-day operations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and executive-level stakeholders
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with a proactive, action-oriented approach
- Adaptability and resilience in managing changing priorities and complex projects with superior organizational skills and a focus on process improvement
