Senior Team Leader, Planogram Planning and Production

Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President of Assortment, Space, and Demand Planning Capabilities, the Sr. Team Leader, Planogram Planning and Production leads run-the-business planogram planning and production for Merchandising business units for all country locations (US, Canada, UK). This leader supports cross-functional merchandising strategy execution and operational excellence by delivering high-quality, timely planograms for business execution. This leader will establish and implement measurable KPIs to ensure effective resource planning and planogram production is delivered on time to meet established planogram quality benchmarks and operational merchandising tenets. Driving adoption for new space planning technology advancements through team development and training support is a key responsibility of this role. The successful candidate will have a growth and continuous improvement mindset, with a relentless focus on delivering results and intended outcomes in a complex and dynamic landscape. This leader will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the space planning domain. The candidate will also show a continued commitment to long-term goals, a relentless pursuit of operational excellence, and resilient leadership throughout the journey.This role is based in Austin, TX, with an expectation of being in the Store Support office five days a week.

Responsibilities: 

  • Leads planogram planning and production execution company-wide 

  • Effectively plans planogram production resource allocation for run-the-business execution 

  • Establishes KPIs to measure planogram production rates and quality 

  • Leads and develops planogram planning and production teams to meet business needs of regularly scheduled Category Review events, in accordance with annual Category Round Calendar 

  • Engages with merchandising leaders to ensure merchandising strategies are reflected and executed on planograms  

  • Drives team adoption to evolving planogram technology capabilities to ensure business continuity 

  • Drives planogram production training adherence to process updates through team accountability 

  • Leads hiring and team development programs for direct report team 

  • Drives cross-functional partnership across Merchandising, Retail Operations, and Merchandising Presentation Capabilities, Operations, and Floor Planning teams 

  • Participates as a subject matter expert for capability and business requirements development as needed 

  • Assesses capability expansion readiness in partnership with capabilities development stakeholders 

  • Continuously looks for ways to improve processes and increase team efficiencies, leveraging the skills and expertise of internal department resources and cross-functional partner teams 

  • Manage and achieve budget and return on investment goals set for projects, when appropriate 

  • Close projects by gathering feedback, documenting lessons learned/best practices, and applying those best practices to subsequent projects 

  • Establishes and maintains a positive and community-based work environment 

 

Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS degree and 6-8 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience 

  • 2-4 years leadership experience 

  • Proven ability to effectively lead initiative project planning, resource allocation, and results measurement 

  • Proven history of inspiring and leading teams, motivating them to achieve exceptional results 

  • Ability to earn trust across a broad network of stakeholders 

  • A track record of success in recruiting top talent and cultivating a high-performing team  

  • Skilled in identifying and attracting exceptional candidates and fostering an environment that nurtures individual growth and team collaboration  

  • Proven ability to align diverse stakeholders and execute on deadline-driven initiatives   

  • Proven experience in actively listening to and understanding diverse perspectives, effectively disagreeing, and devising solutions that benefit the business and all stakeholders involved 

  • Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritize work, and deliver against timebound workstreams 

  • Customer focused, operationally savvy, excellent communicator with strong business acumen, and the ability to influence without authority 

  • Proactively identifies risks to executing business deliverables and creates risk mitigation strategies 

  • Effectively balances team budget for resource investment
